Promoter-Talk
with Metal Hammer editor-in-chief Sebastian Kessler & MHP head booker Stephan Thanscheidt
Saturday // 12:30 p.m. // Motörhütt
It doesn't get more informative than this: Festival organizer Stephan Thanscheidt (FKP Scorpio) and METAL HAMMER editor-in-chief Sebastian Kessler invite you, as usual, to an interactive discussion and welcome your questions about the festival, the current state of the live music industry, and the eponymous print magazine. Band requests for the upcoming 2026 edition are also welcome. Dare to speak up – here, you will be heard!
Reading: “Auf Kohle Geboren”
with Holger Schmenk
Saturday, 02:00 p.m. // Motörhütt
2025 is likely to go down in music history as a standout year for reading: there has probably never been so much high-quality literature for metalheads! One of the best books comes from author Holger Schmenk, who is responsible for the official Sodom biography 'Born on Coal.' From this informative and entertaining work, the author, also known from the series 'Buddies in Vests,' will read live for us. Be there and let yourself be surprised by exciting anecdotes about the Ruhr heroes around Tom Angelripper!
Live Interview: "SAXON, VENGER & more"
with Doug Scarratt
Saturday, 04:00 p.m. // Motörhütt
Doug Scarratt has been playing the strings for Saxon since 1995. But that is not enough for the seasoned guitarist: in early 2026, the debut album of his side project Venger, TIMES OF LEGEND, will be released. In a live on-site interview, the musician talks about the launch of his new band as well as his everyday life with Saxon. Of course, he has his usual instrument in hand and will not miss the chance to play one or the other familiar riff...
Pub Quiz: "Heavy Metal-Tablequiz by Klaue und Till"
with Till Burgwächter
Saturday, 05:30 p.m. // Motörhütt
This year we are presenting a novelty in our festival program: Till Burgwächter, a Braunschweig writing workaholic, Trveheim representative, and local legend (to be understood in both senses), invites you to a pub quiz. Challenge yourself with his tricky questions in an entertaining round, prove your metal expertise, and exchange thoughts with other participants about nuances and contentious answers!
Bowling with April Art
Saturday, starting 06:00 p.m. // Bowling alley
Young and old alike are especially looking forward to this sporty event: You have the chance not only to compete against the most agile members of the METAL HAMMER editorial team at bowling but also against bands! This year, the Hessian modern metallers April Art, led by singer Lisa-Marie Watz, step into the ring and sound their red alert on the lane instead of the stage.
Warm-Up-Party
Thursday, 08:00 p.m. // Motörhütt
You have already arrived in the far north on Thursday and have nothing to do except shopping, first walks on the beach, having fun at the pool and feeling great? Then join us at our warm-up party in the already open Motörhütt! From 8 p.m. on, the DJs from the Ballroom Hamburg will heat you up and provide you with an amazing first night - and maybe you'll already make a paradisiacal acquaintance or two ... Have fun!
Aftershowpartys
Friday from 12:00 a.m. and Saturday from 11:30 p.m. onwards // Motörhütt
The Ballroom DJs are on duty for you not only at the warm-up party, but also on regular festival days, from night to early morning: from midnight onwards, the Motörhütt will be rocking. Song requests? Let us know! We hope for two successful nights of partying and assure you of the best party atmosphere and guaranteed headbanging!
